This idea was inspired by the way soldiers in the past would post pin-ups onto their lockers or bring them along during combat as morale boosters.I wanted to focus on the playful but wholesome side of pin-ups. I decided to design a pin-up girl for a modern guy — maybe depicting that special girl next door who shares his interest in stuff like Lord of the Rings, and whose laugh can turn bad days around. Regardless of whether it prints, I enjoyed working on the illustration for this.
