Lately, some friends and I found ourselves looking back at our old playlists. Even though there were a lot of sad or angry songs in there, listening to them now just makes us smile.
Here’s one I used to loop after high school — In This Diary by The Ataris
“Get on the bus, it’s time to go / Being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up / These are the best days of our lives”
I had grown up in one school all my life, and I didn’t know how I would deal with leaving a place that felt like home, and all the familiar faces, and the cherished memories (good and bad). I was afraid nothing could ever compare to that.
Hey younger self, guess what? Things get infinitely better. :)

YOU GUYSSSS DO YOU REMEMBER THESE BOOKS? The colorful covers, the cheesy titles, the line, “Reader, beware. You’re in for a scare.”
I’ve been wanting to try reading Goosebumps again but couldn’t find the books in stores around here. However, I found this site where you can read some of the books online!
http://goosebumpslibrary.blogspot.com/
(Tip: There are more book apart from the titles shown on the sidebar. You just have to keep hitting on the “Older Posts” link on the bottom of the page)
The last update wasn’t too long ago so maybe more volumes will be posted. I’ve read a couple of books through this site so far. As expected, they weren’t really scary to me now, but it sure did bring back memories! It was nice to look back at how it took so little to scare and/or entertain me back then.
And after I’m done with a story, I like reading this blogger’s hilarious Goosebumps reviews: http://www.bloggerbeware.com/
Happy reading!

With another year ending, I got nostalgic and went to look at some photos from really ooold photo shoots. Here is Myk (Matsuda), China (Misa), me (Light) and Miguel (L) from our Death Note cosplay shoot.
We were taking pictures in cosplay in a rather popular commercial area and nobody really minded us doing so. Maybe they just thought we were a bunch of strange tourists. That was a nice day.

Hello again! I haven’t posted here in a while. I’ve mostly been doing some lurking and liking posts from blogs I follow.
Here’s a small peek at one of the many things that have been keeping me busy during these past weeks. These are paintings commissioned by a client for his private collection. (For those wondering — I use acrylic and oil paint on canvas.) It’s a lot of work, but it’s something I really love doing. Once I start, it gets very difficult to stop. One of my longest sessions was about 9:00 PM to 11:00 AM the next day. Working and building up color and form to transfer an idea from your head onto a canvas is an exciting, fascinating process.
The paintings are still unfinished at this stage. I was in the middle of my then nightly ritual of painting while old Nicktoons air on Nickelodeon. I’m glad I can still watch even just some of the older cartoons, starting with Rugrats at midnight. The show on my TV in the photo is Hey Arnold! which airs a little bit before sunrise. Other old Nick shows I wish I could watch again are — The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Clarissa Explains It All, and The Wild Thornberrys.
I apologize for the disjointed writing. I’m just trying to get the hang of this again.
